My thoughts on Momma's Day

Today is Mothers Day...My Bug and Lady Bug are sleeping as is their Daddy. I am only awake because Lady Bug needed fed then went back to sleep and then I had to pump. (Oh the joys of breastfeeding ;), I really do love it though!)
I adore feeding Leigha right now! Breastfeeding is so special for us, it's just our time and it's something that only I can do for her which makes me feel pretty darn important. Within the last week it's become so much better to feed her though. She's been really alert when she's been eating instead of her eating and falling asleep like she did until this week. She'll stare at me with her big beautiful blue eyes and sometimes grin really big then go back to eating. It's so fun and makes me fill up with joy and love!

Bug and I have our special time when we read. He love, love, loves to read. We read throughout each and every day just about. It's the only times now when he slows down enough to sit on my lap and snuggle me. I read and he points to the word then the corrilating picture just as I've taught him to.
He is the most lovable boy in the world. He'll stop playing or whatever he's doing just to come up to me and sis and give us hugs and kisses and sign 'love' to us. He has a beautiful soul!
We also have special time when we are learning new signs together. He picks up on sign language so easily and does so well! Just yesterday he surprised me by signing 'socks' and 'go' and honestly (lacking on my teaching a bit) I'd only shown them to him once or twice like a month ago. I don't know why but he suddenly decided to sign them yesterday when I said "Let's put on your socks" and he signed "socks" he also said the word out loud! In the car on the way home yesterday I told him we were going home and he said outloud and signed "go". What an amazing little guy!

Anyway that's all for now. Just my thoughts on how my beautiful kids show love to their Momma every day!

Drake loves bath time!

Someone loves bath time!! Look at that huge grin and those amazing red curls!!

This is one of those moments I wish to burn into my memory to never EVER forget!

SPLASH

Such a happy Buggy!
Lady Bug, Leigha, was napping and Bug, Drake, had gotten all messy from lunch so I decided to throw him in the bath tub. I am so thankful I had my camera at hand!! I adore these photos. I don't get to play with him much in the bath, usually bath time is daddy and Drake time. I enjoyed this very much!! Hope you enjoy the photo's :)

Leigha's first food experience

Leigha's first food experience...Rice cereal and momma's milk

What is on my lips???

This is weird and I don't like it! I want Momma's milk only!

Hmm maybe it's not soooo bad...

Maybe I'll stick with what I know...sucking on my fist :)
So Leigha still will not take a bottle. I have a wedding to shoot June 4th therefore she will not have Momma around for 10 (give or take) hours and she'll have to take a bottle. In my thinking about this...I wondered if it was a texture thing. Then I thought,...what if I tried cereal with my milk. That's a different texture but it's also instant food in her mouth and tummy and maybe that would help her take to the bottle. So today I'm going to do cereal at lunch and dinner as well then tomorrow we'll try the bottle again.

I didn't get any shots of Drake but he was a big helper in feeding "Sissy Leigh-aaa" He got the cereal on the spoon and tested it first, of course, then he got more cereal on the spoon gave it to me and told me to give it to Sis. He was also sweet enough to wipe her face off when she got it all over her. He was worried about her when she started to cry at first so he held her feet and hands to try to make her feel better. He's such a wonderful big brother! I have two pretty amazing kids!

Moving

Where do I begin? This is my problem in every area of my life right now...What should I pack in my car first, which room should I take apart at our "old house" to move to our "new house". What if I pack something that we need before I am able to unpack it there?!
I am an organizational freak as well as a cleaning freak...these are words from my loving husband and he truly does love me through all of this! It's making me insane to not be organized right now and it's extremely hard to clean around boxes and stuff all over!
Yesterday I took most of the kids toys over and started setting up their playroom. I have the rest of the stuff for their playroom in my car now, except a few toys and books for Drake to play with until we move.
I want to start on their room but they don't have anything I can move until we really move. I can't take their beds or clothes and that's really all that will be in their room except for decorations but I'm wating to make those till things calm down.
In closing, I'm frustrated and ready to get everything over there and out of boxes and laid out so I can sort through it all and put it in it's new home :)

My Bug and I before church. Poor guy has a cold but still looks hot diggity dog handsome!

After working on the house we decided to come home and play in the rain. This is me putting Draker in a water puddle..."Oooo Brrr" is what he was saying haha

After the shock wore off, he LOVED splashing and getting wet

Daddy putting drake under a drip

Such a stinkin' cutie! I love moments like this...playing out in the rain with the Bug. He won't want to do this forever with Josh and I so we relish it when we get the chance!
